The Professional Fellows Program (PFP)
PFP links entrpreneurs and community leaders from the United States with countries across the Middle East and North Africa. It is a two-way citizen exchange program designed as a capacity-building and professional development initiative that focusses on economic empowerment in Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco and Tunisia. The program is for early- to mid-career professionals with strong leadership skills, who are committed to making a lasting positive impact through their work.

TechGirls
TechGirls is an international summer exchange program designed to empower and inspire young women to pursue careers in science and technology. Over 600 girls from the United States, and 38 participating countries and territories across all hemispheres have participated since 2012. The centerpiece of the program is a week long technology camp that provides participants with an in-depth examination of technology-related topics, such as AI, coding engineering, molecular modeling and data informatics. The camp is complemented by additional activities such as site visits to technology companies, leadership clinics, community service opportunities, job shadowing, and cultural events.

National Security Language Institute for Youth
The National Security Language Institute for Youth is part of a U.S. government initiative that prepares American citizens to be leaders in a global world. NSLI-Y aims to provide opportunities to American youth that will spark a lifetime interest in language learning. From 2007-2017, Legacy International was one of 11 organizations nationwide that implemented NSLI-Y. Our program took place in Morocco throughout the year and operated out of two cities: Marrakesh and Rabat. Students were enrolled in language and received classroom language instruction during the program. Students participated in a variety of cultural activities designed to enhance their language skills. The program also included opportunities for community service.
American Youth Leadership Program
The American Youth Leadership Program is a leadership training and exchange program focusing on environment and climate change while exploring sustainable management of resources, careers in science and technology while working cooperatively with Cypriot peers in Cyprus, to promote environmental stewardship of the planet.

The Legislative Fellows Program – North Africa (LFP-NA)
LFP-NA links community leaders from the United States, Egypt, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia. This two-year program supports young professionals from North Africa, builds capacity in local Civil Service Organizations (CSOs), and strengthens mutual understanding of the legislative and policy making processes in all countries.The Legislative Fellows Program – North Africa (LFP-NA) links community leaders from the United States, Egypt, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia. North Africa Community Health Initiative
North Africa Community Health Initiative provides community health care professionals from Morocco and Egypt a new set of tools, resources, and knowledge to enhance rural health care in their respective communities. This program builds the capacity of professionals who serve marginalized populations, particularly women and children.
Indonesian Youth Leadership Program
Indonesian Youth Leadership Program engages high school students in a practical, hands-on experience in environmental action and leadership development. This two-way exchange addresses local and regional environmental issues in the U.S. and Indonesia, successfully encouraging youth leaders to be a force for their community improvement.
Community Connections: Education in Tajikistan
Community Connections: Education in Tajikistan is a four year project initiated by USAID, the Quality Reading Project brings education professionals from Tajikistan to Virginia to meet with professional peers in the academic, governmental, and non-profit organization sectors.
Kyrgyz Women’s Initiative
Kyrgyz Women’s Initiative designed to positively impact emerging professionals (community leaders, political leaders, educators, and youth workers), and to strengthen grassroots organizations in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, as well as developing the mutual understanding of the role of civil society in the U.S. and Kyrgyzstan.
Community Connections: Inclusive Education
Ten professionals from Kyiv, Ukraine meet their U.S. professional counterparts and studying how government, non-profit, academia, and business provide services to those with disabilities through an inclusive approach.
