On-Demand Youth Leadership Program (ODYLP):
Excellence in AI and Global Leadership Exchange (EAGLE)
The ODYLP: EAGLE is a program of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), implemented by Legacy International. The program brings together approximately 18 youth participants (ages 15–18) and three adult mentors from Kosovo, the Republic of Korea, and the United States for a three-week exchange in Seattle & Washington D.C. focused on equipping young leaders and educators with knowledge and skills in AI, technology, and global leadership.

- Explore ethical and responsible technology use, including digital citizenship and online safety
- Strengthen innovation and entrepreneurial skills through interactive workshops
- Build leadership and civic engagement skills through hands-on community problem-solving
- Collaborate with peers from Kosovo, the Republic of Korea, and the United States
The program is 20 days in length, with 15 days in Seattle, Washington, and 5 days in Washington, D.C.

Program Details
Part 1: IN-PERSON EXCHANGE
Days 1 - 15: Community immersion in Seattle, Washington. Participants will engage in AI and leadership workshops, meet with U.S. private sector and innovation leaders, take part in community service, and explore American culture and local communities. Participants will live with volunteer American host families during this portion of the program.
Days 15 - 20: Capstone experience in Washington, D.C. Participants will visit the U.S. Department of State, engage with U.S. institutions, reflect on their learning, and participate in activities connected to the commemoration of America’s 250th birthday.
Part 2: COMMUNITY-BASED PROJECTS
After the U.S. exchange, participants will apply what they learned by designing and leading a community project that uses AI to tackle a real challenge in their local community. Youth will work with peers and mentors to turn ideas into action, share their solutions, and make a meaningful, lasting impact.
APPLICATION DETAILS
Six students and one adult mentor will be competitively selected to participate from each of the three participating countries: Kosovo, the Republic of Korea, and the United States.
Is there a cost? There is NO application fee. The United States Government will pay for all travel and all program-related costs for selected participants.
