International Education Week
International Education Week was celebrated around the world last week (November 14 – November 18, 2016). It was an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchanges worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of their efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences.
Legacy International partnered with the U.S. State Department Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs to create short videos from past Legacy fellows and alumni of State Department funded programs. In the videos alumni Basel Almadhoun, Lara Kasbari, Yousra Bensouda, Nino Nanitashvili, and Ibtihal Aboussad discuss their experiences as part of the Youth Exchange and Study Abroad Program (YES), the Future Leaders Exchange Program (FLEX), and TechGIrls.
Please check out what Legacy alumni had to say about the impact international education has had on them and then repost and share to spread these powerful messages!
